Contradictory JMO reports on Schaffter’s death questioned

Contradictory reports by the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) on the death of businessman Dinesh Schaffter was questioned in Parliament today. Opposition MP Eran Wickremeratne noted that in one report the JMO had said that Schaffter was strangled to death. Government defends relations with China

The Government today defended its relations with China and other countries saying it will maintain a “multi-aligned” foreign policy. Foreign Minister Ali Sabry said that Sri Lanka cannot anger any country, be it the US, Europe or China. Adani and Sri Lanka discuss progress on renewable energy project
