Two accused in Eknaligoda disappearance get bail

Two army intelligence officers who were accused over?the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, were granted bail today.

The first and third accused in the case were granted bail by the Avissawella High Court.

Eknaligoda is a cartoonist, political analyst and journalist. He was reported missing on January 24, 2010 – two days before the presidential polls.

President Maithripala Sirisena had recently said that the army intelligence officers arrested over the incident should have the opportunity to seek bail. (Colombo Gazette)
