Three most wanted drug smugglers arrested in Colombo

Three most wanted drug smugglers have been arrested in Colombo, the police media unit said today.

The police said that the?drug smugglers were arrested with 1kg of heroin following a raid conducted in Colombo early this morning.

The police also said that two vehicles used by the drug smugglers had also been seized.

The drug smugglers are believed to be linked to?Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda who is now in custody.

Initial investigations revealed that the drug smuggling operation is linked to an international drug smuggling network.

The police media unit said that raids have been launched on the instructions of police chief Pujith Jayasundara to crackdown on drug dealers operating in the city. (Colombo Gazette)
