Police raid party in Pannipitiya and arrest 77 youths

The Police raided a party in Pannipitiya this evening (Sunday) and arrested 77 youths, the Police media unit said. The Police said that narcotics had been seized at the party organised via Facebook. Among those arrested were 17 females, the Police media unit said. The Police said that ganja and synthetic drug pills had been distributed at the party. Further investigations are underway. Following directive SriLankan Airlines suspends flights to Kuwait

SriLankan Airlines has suspended its services between Sri Lanka and Kuwait from 6th March to 12th March 2020 following a decision by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait to temporarily suspend incoming flights from Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt for one week.
