Navy rugby players who backed Yoshitha suspended

A group of Navy Sports Club rugby players who were seen wearing armbands in support of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa at a game?yesterday, have been suspended from the team.

The four Navy rugby players wore?armbands with the words ‘Yo-o7’ which is?Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s number in the team.

A member of the Sri Lanka Navy, Yoshitha Rajapaksa is currently in remand prison after being arrested over money laundering charges. (Colombo Gazette)

Fonseka questioned by CID over Noyahr’s abduction and assault

Former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka was questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today over the abduction and assault on journalist Keith Noyahr in 2008.
