Cold weather over Sri Lanka

The weather over Si Lanka today has been mainly fair and cold, the?Department?of Meteorology said. A cold breeze was felt in Colombo and the surrounding areas from morning. The?Department?of Meteorology meanwhile said that there will be showers or thundershowers at several places in the sea areas off Eastern, South-eastern and Southern coasts over the next few hours. Weather death toll nearing 50

The death toll from the extreme weather conditions?experienced?in the country for nearly a month is nearing 50. As of yesterday the death toll had risen to 46, the Disaster Management Center (DMC)?said. The DMC also said that 8 people are still missing following the heavy rain, floods and landslides.
