UNP says Lanka a Chinese colony (Audio)

The main opposition United National Party (UNP) says Sri Lanka has become a Chinese colony and this was evident following the opening of the expanded Colombo port recently.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said that the port is under contract to a Chinese company in Hong Kong till 2048.
He said that over 50 percent of the income from the new section of the Colombo port will go to the Chinese company in Hong Kong.
?Only 15 percent will be earned by the Colombo Port,? he said.
Attanayake also said that it was reported the national anthem was not sung and the national flag had not been raised at the opening of the new section of the port.
Meanwhile?Attanayake also said that UNP leader Ranil Wickramesinghe was in India on an invitation extended by the Indian government.
He said that India hopes to obtain the views from the UNP leader on the upcoming elections and other developments in the country.?(Colombo Gazette)

Six shops in Borella closed after three people test positive for virus

Six shops, including two eateries, have been temporarily closed in Borella.
