Four arrested over ATM fraud

Four?people, including a woman, were?arrested in Colombo over an ATM fraud, the police said today.
The police said that the four people had been arrested following investigations carried out by the police.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had withdrawn nearly Rs. 3 million after duplicating Credit Card information.
The police said that among those arrested was an an Indo – Sri Lankan dual citizen. Further investigations are underway.
All the suspects were produced in Court today and remanded.

Appeal by UNP MPs rejected

An appeal lodged by UNP parliamentarians Palitha Range Bandara and Ashoka Abeysinghe against disciplinary action being taken against them by the UNP leadership, was rejected by the Civil Appeals Court in Mount Lavinia today.
