Five shot at wedding party

Five people were injured after being shot at during a wedding party in Buttala late last night, the police said.
The shooting took place following a heated argument between two groups at the wedding party in Okampitiya, Buttala.
Following the heated exchange of words one man had left the area and then returned with a weapon.
He opened fire at one group of people resulting in five of them being injured and rushed to hospital.
The police said that three women and two men were among those injured in the shooting incident.
Of those injured two were said to be in serious condition and are receiving treatment at the Badulla hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
