Former MP Baddegama Samitha Thero dies after contracting Covid

Former Parliamentarian, the venerable Baddegama Samitha Thero passed away while receiving treatment in hospital for the coronavirus. The former MP had been admitted to the intensive care unit two weeks ago. It was reported that he had visited the family of a Covid victim before he tested positive for the virus. Number of people infected in parts of Colombo

A number of people have been found to be infected with the coronavirus in parts of Colombo, according to the latest PCR test results. Latest PCR test results showed a number of people were infected in Kotahena, Narahenpita, Wellawatta, Cinnamon Gardens and Borella.
