Child killed, 3 injured in Kuliyapitiya accident

A 26 day old child was killed and three others injured following an accident in Kulliyapitiya last evening, the police media unit said today.

The police said that the accident?occurred?when a three-wheeler collided with a mini lorry along the Kulliyapitiya – Bingiriya road.

The three-wheeler was heading towards Bingiriya from Kulliyapitiya when it collided with lorry injuring four people who were in the three-wheeler including the child.

According to the police media unit, the child died on admission to hospital. Investigations into the accident are underway.
