EPDP member suspended

The EPDP led by Minister Douglas Devananda has suspended the membership of EPDP Jaffna Municipal Council member S. Vijayakanth with immediate effect. Vijayakanth was suspended after he was arrested by the police yesterday over his alleged involvement in criminal activities in Jaffna. The Indian police foiled an attempt made by a group of Sri Lankan nationals to migrate to Australia by sea.
