Cops seize illegal movie copies

The police raided two stores in Pettah and seized over 100 illegal copies of the Sinhala movie ?Daruwane? and arrested two suspects, the police media unit said today.

According to the police, a complaint was lodged over the illegal sale of the movie by the producers and distributors, Sunil. T Pictures.

Following the police complaint the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) launched investigations and raided the two stores.

The police found 105 illegal copies of the movie ?Daruwane? in one store and another 15 in another store.

The two suspects are to be produced in court today.
