Parents abandon two children

The Pamanugama police had found two young children abandoned by their parents at their house, the police media unit said today.
Aged 6 and 2 years old, the two children had been found abandoned on Friday following information received by the police.
The police took the 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl into their care and lodged a report at the Wattala Magistrate?s court.
The Magistrate instructed the police to place both children at two children?s homes till the parents could be found.
The police said that initial investigations had revealed that there was a dispute between both parents just before the children had been abandoned.
The police are looking for the parents.
