Teens rape 75 year old woman

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, have been arrested for raping a 75 year old woman in Aralagangwila, the police media unit said today.

According to the police the teens had raped the woman while she was alone at home on Saturday night.

The two suspects are to be produced in court today.

Meanwhile the police media unit also said that a 16 year old boy has been arrested for raping a 15 year old girl in Dambulla.

The police said that the underage girl had an affair with the young boy and this had led to the rape.

The boy was produced in court and released on bail. Further investigations are underway.

In another incident also reported by the police media unit this morning, a 34 year old man has been arrested for sexually abusing a 13 year old boy in Akuressa.

The suspect is to be produced in court today. (Colombo Gazette)

Bodies of two women who were murdered found

The bodies of two women suspected to have been murdered, have been found in Matara, the Police said. The Police said that the two women had been killed by a gang in the area. The bodies of a woman and her daughter-in-law were found in?Navimana North in Matara. Investigation are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
