Young couple drown after boat overturns in Anuradhapura river

A young couple who had gone on a boat ride in the Anuradhapura river, had drowned after their boat overturned. The police said that the couple were initially reported missing after the boat overturned. A search operation was later launched and the bodies were found today.

Draft on new Constitution not yet ready, talks continuing

The Government today insisted that a draft of the new Constitution is not yet ready and that discussions are still ongoing.
