Sri Lankan teen commits suicide in Italy over love affair

A?Sri Lankan teen has committed suicide in Italy over a love affair, the Italian media reported. The 16 year old boy in Vicenza had consumed some form of liquid after his parents had refused to allow him to have a relationship with?an Italian girl. Reports stated that the parents of the young boy wanted him to have a relationship with someone from the same ethnicity as his family. The boy was admitted to hospital but he was pronounced dead a few hours later. (Colombo Gazette)

TNA warns Government over failure to address issues

Special dengue wards to be set up in hospitals

The Ministry of Health has decided to?set up special dengue wards in Government hospitals in some parts of the country. Following a discussion with Health Minister, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, it was decided to have?special dengue wards in the main hospitals in the Western, Southern and Eastern provinces.
