Four Air Force personnel killed in Warakapola accident

Four Air Force personnel were killed in an accident in Warakapola today, the Police said. The Police said that the three-wheeler they were travelling in collided with a truck along the Kandy-Colombo main road early this morning. The Air Force personnel had been returning from a funeral when the accident occurred. The driver of the container was arrested. (Colombo Gazette)

Rajitha Senaratne granted bail

Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, who was arrested and kept under detention at a private hospital, was granted bail today. A Magistrate had visited the hospital last week to inspect the condition of the former Minister and ordered that he be remanded till today.
