Government urged to increase PCR tests

Political parties with racial or religious names will not be registered

Political parties with racial or religious names will not be registered in future, the Election Commission said today. The Commission will also look to amend the names of registered political parties with racial or religious names in consultation with the respective parties. Sri Lanka claims to have backing of Security Council

The Government today (24) claimed that it has the backing of a majority of members with veto powers at the United Nations Security Council.
