Acting DG of Sri Lanka Customs appointed following protests

An Acting Director General has been appointed to the Sri Lanka Customs Department following protests over moves to appoint a?retired Navy officer as the Director General. Horowpathana school principal arrested

The principal of a school in Horowpathana was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a parent. The principal had accepted the bribe to?enroll a child into a class. Officers of the Bribery Commission had arrested the principal.
