UPFA to decide next step after key talks

The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) says it will decide its next move after meeting with the alliance members. Two more Navy officers arrested over abductions

Two more Navy officers have been arrested over the abduction and disappearance of 11 youth. The two Navy?officers were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Former Navy Lieutenant Commander Chandana Hettiaracchi aka Navy Sampath, wis already in remanded over the abduction of the 11 youth. The 11 youth had been abducted between 2008 and 2009. Supreme Court rules dissolution of Parliament unconstitutional

The?Supreme Court has ruled that the dissolution of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena was unconstitutional. Delivering its ruling, a seven judge bench said that the President cannot dissolve Parliament till Parliament completes its full 4 1/2 year term.
