Lanka urged to press Burma

The Sri Lankan government has been urged to press the Burmese government to put an immediate stop to the abuses against the Rohingya Muslims in Arakan State. Government says no rift with India

The government says it has no rift with India despite issues raised in Tamil Nadu against Sri Lanka. President Mahinda Rajapaksa says the government has always invited politicians in Tamil Nadu to come to Sri Lanka and see firsthand the ground situation.
