Actress plays down assault seen on viral video

A Sri Lankan model/actress has played down a video showing her being assaulted by a man. Piumi Hansamali told Colombo Gazette (Sinhala) that the assault had taken place some four months ago and that she had not filed a Police complaint. The video going viral on social media shows her being pushed to the ground in a garden and assaulted by a man in the presence of at least one other person. Mohamed Faizer remanded, Lalith Kumara further remanded

Mohamed Nazeem Mohamed Faizer, who was deported from Dubai and arrested for questioning, was ordered to be remanded till April 24th. SLPP, SLFP agree to meet again after reaching understanding

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) decided to meet again next month after reaching an understanding on several issues at talks held today.
