Seven suspects including 3 cops arrested

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has arrested seven suspects including 3 policemen over the?Rs. 10 million robbery at Slave Island last month, police spokesman Budhika Siriwardena said.
A group of men who had posed as policemen had stolen Rs. 10 million from a businessman in Salve Island On?February 12?, the police said.
The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) had launched investigations into the incident.
According to the police, two men who had withdrawn the cash from Sampath bank at Slave Island were heading towards Nawam Mawatha ?when the car was stopped by men in uniform similar to that worn by the traffic police.
At this point another group of men had arrived in a jeep and abducted the two men and stole the car with the cash.
The two men were set free in the Kotte area but the car and cash were stolen.?(Colombo Gazette)
