Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, Major General (Retd.) Jagath Alwis has resigned. He has tendered his resignation to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) had today recorded a statement from the Secretary over the Galle Face incident. AG instructs IGP to transfer Deshabandu Tennakoon

The Attorney General has instructed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chandana D. Wickramaratne to transfer Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province, Deshabandu Tennakoon.
