Sri Lanka promoted business events, leisure travel and wellness tourism through two pavilions at ITB Asia 2026 in Singapore from 21 to 23 October, according to the Sri Lankan High Commission.
The exhibition took place at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. Its 19th edition was held alongside MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia, bringing together travel businesses and buyers across several industry segments.
The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau coordinated a pavilion at MICE Show Asia to promote the country for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. It presented services for international conferences, corporate meetings, incentive travel programmes and business events.
Participants included Aitken Spence Travels, Blackpool Resort & Spa, Ceylon Experiences, Cinnamon Hotel Management, Esna Holidays Sri Lanka, Radisson Blu Galadari Colombo, Serene Travels & Tours, World of Travel, SriLankan Airlines and Walkers Tours, alongside the bureau.
A second pavilion, coordinated by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, focused on leisure tourism, with particular emphasis on wellness and Ayurveda.
Its participants included Jetwing Travels, Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort, Chamo Tours and Travels, Pegasus Reef Hotel, Karusan Travels, Magical Isle Holidays and Sen Wellness Sanctuary.
The two pavilions enabled participating businesses to present their services to international travel trade professionals and explore potential partnerships in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region, the High Commission reported.
Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Senarath Dissanayake, officially opened both pavilions. Convention Bureau Chairman Dheera Hettiarachchi led its delegation, which included Marketing Manager Malkanthi Welikala.
Assistant Director Nithini Senanayake led the Tourism Promotion Bureau delegation. Bhagya Abeykoon, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs at the High Commission, supported the participation and engagement with companies and institutions.
The combined presence covered both business and leisure travel, while giving specialist wellness operators a platform to meet prospective international trade partners.
