Inaugural I See You Gala Welcomes 300 Guests and Launched a New Annual Tradition of Purpose

Infinite Grace Foundation’s inaugural I SEE YOU Gala brought more than 300 guests together in Colombo and generated LKR 2.6 million through a live auction, according to the organisation.

The event also raised funds through ticket sales, pledges and donations. Its auction featured six lots, including jewellery donated by Colombo Jewellery Stores, Abdeen Jewellers, Vogue Jewellers and Tiesh.

The remaining lots included a sensory panel from The Treehouse International and a commemorative plaque signed by members of the group 98 Degrees and presented by Jeff Timmons. The foundation attributed the reported LKR 2.6 million auction figure to the six lots collectively.

Music formed part of the programme. Timmons, Stephanie Siriwardhana and Dushyanth Weeraman performed “We Are the World” with members of the Junior Symphony Orchestra. Siriwardhana later performed her original song, “I SEE YOU”, accompanied by orchestra members. Yasas the Mentalist also appeared during the evening.

The gala marked the launch of the foundation’s website, which provides information about its work and programmes. The organisation intends to use the event to develop further fundraising and partnerships.

Founded by Siriwardhana, Infinite Grace Foundation works in areas including mental health, education, prison rehabilitation, reintegration and community support in Sri Lanka. The gala brought supporters from business, diplomatic, cultural and philanthropic circles together around those programmes.

The auction formed one part of a broader fundraising evening. Performances and appeals gave guests several ways to engage with the foundation and the causes it supports.

The organisation hopes to make the gala an annual event. Its first edition combined live entertainment, an auction and fundraising appeals while introducing its work to a larger audience of potential supporters across Sri Lanka.
