Janashakthi Life strengthens healthcare and safety support for Poson devotees

Janashakthi Life, the flagship brand of JXG (Janashakthi Group), carried out a community-focused initiative in Anuradhapura during the Poson season to support healthcare services, public safety and pilgrim welfare.

As part of the programme, the company donated essential medicines to Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura and installed a new hospital name board to improve accessibility for visitors seeking medical assistance.

Janashakthi Life also provided directional signboards to the Sri Lanka Police to support crowd movement and route guidance during the pilgrimage period. In addition, the company distributed merit books to devotees at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.

Through these initiatives, Janashakthi Life reaffirmed its commitment to supporting communities and contributing to their wellbeing and safety.

Former Navy spokesman further remanded in abduction case

Former Navy spokesman ?D K P Dassanayake was today ordered to be further remanded in relation to an abduction case. Dassanayake was ordered to be remanded till December 22 by the Fort Magistrate. Dassanayake has been in remand after being arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the disappearance of 11 youth.
