Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra Meets Belgian Counterpart to Bolster Bilateral Ties

Yesterday (20) in Brussels, Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka, met with Franky Demon, Member of the Chamber of Representatives and President of the Belgium–Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Group, to advance bilateral cooperation.

The encounter focused on deepening the relationship between the two nations. Deputy Minister Hemachandra provided an update on Sri Lanka's current cooperative efforts with Belgium and the broader European Union.

Both dignitaries engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing parliamentary cooperation and strategizing for the expansion of bilateral relations. Key areas highlighted for potential growth included friendship, trade, investment, and tourism.

Information sought on assets of President, PM under RTI

An application has been filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act seeking information on the assets of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. CBK claims evidence found linking Namal to Dubai account

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga says the police have unearthed evidence linking Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa to a Dubai bank account with millions of Dollars.
