Sony International Issues IP Warning to Sri Lankan Media Company

Sony International has reportedly taken action against a prominent Sri Lankan television channel, serving a Cease and Desist letter regarding the alleged unauthorised exploitation of its intellectual property.
The international company is demanding the immediate termination of a specific programme broadcast by the channel.
The formal notice, which was reportedly delivered to the broadcaster's management today, asserts that the channel has infringed upon Sony International's IP rights. Consequently, the company requires the instantaneous cessation of the programme's production and transmission.
Sony International has issued a clear warning: non-compliance with the demand will lead to the initiation of legal proceedings without further notification. This action is expected to include a claim for substantial damages stemming from the alleged violation of intellectual property laws.
