Elon Musk announces launch of Starlink in Sri Lanka

Businessman Elon Musk announced the launch of Starlink internet services in Sri Lanka.

Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency internet is now available in Sri Lanka and can be ordered online.

The Starlink network is designed, owned and operated by SpaceX, the world’s leading provider of launch services.

SpaceX is the first private company to have delivered astronauts to and from the International Space Station, and the first and only company to complete an all-civilian crew mission to orbit.

Parnil Urdhwareshe, Starlink’s senior executive for India, has been involved in the company’s regional expansion.

He met with Sri Lanka’s then Presidential adviser Ruwan Wijewardene in July last year to discuss matters related to the launch of the service in Sri Lanka.

UAE extends ban on flights from Sri Lanka till 21st July

Emirates has extended the suspension of passenger flights from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka until July 21, ARN News reported.
