Sri Lanka expresses solidarity with Qatar following attack by Iran

Sri Lanka expressed solidarity with Qatar over the attack by Iran, during a telephone conversation between the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Qatar and Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said that the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi received a phone call from the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Arun Hemachandra on Saturday.

The call dealt with discussing cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed a number of topics of common interest.

During the call, Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his country’s solidarity with the State of Qatar following the attack launched by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base.

Reopening of schools postponed till after polls
