President to ask Prime Minister to step down

Thousands take to the streets in Colombo

Thousands took to the streets in Colombo today to support an islandwide token strike lunched by trade unions. The strike saw protests being staged near Lake House as well as near the Health Ministry and in other parts of Colombo.
