New French Ambassador to Sri Lanka presents his credentials

The new French Ambassador to Sri Lanka presented his credentials to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.

A career diplomat since 1992, R?mi Lambert (born in 1965) was previously Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of France in Bangkok, Thailand (2021-2024).

From 2017 to 2021, R?mi Lambert was Deputy Director of Cultural, University and Research Cooperation in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prior to this, R?mi Lambert was Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of France in Hanoi, Vietnam (2013-2017), Charg? de mission in charge of Global Public Goods at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2009), and also First Secretary at the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the Embassy of France in Beijing, China (2001-2006).

R?mi Lambert, is a graduate in history, geography and from the Institute of Political Studies.

He is fluent in English, Spanish and Chinese. (Colombo Gazette)
