Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda is in Sri Lanka to record some songs, the actor said on social media.

The actor was seen in Galle after arriving in Sri Lanka.

Vijay Deverakonda?s is currently acting in the film Kingdom. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom follows the journey of a man forced to leave his homeland due to tragic childhood events.

Set against the backdrop of historical events from 1947 to the 1980s, the film explores the struggles of refugees and the rise of a leader amidst turmoil, focusing on challenges along the India-Sri Lanka border. (Colombo Gazette / Agencies)

Sri Lanka and Japan to sign deal on skilled workers

Sri Lanka and Japan are to sign a deal on skilled workers, Deputy Minister of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara said today. The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) have postponed talks scheduled for today.
