Hirunika goes public over split from husband

Model turned politician Hirunika Premachandra has gone public over her split from her husband Hiran Yattowita.

Issuing a statement on social media, Hirunika Premachandra said that after much thought and reflection she and her husband decided to separate.

She said the decision was made with mutual respect and understanding.

“We have spent almost 10 years together. We have created the life of our dreams together. We are truly grateful for the love we got to experience as partners. When we got married we never promised forever because we understood that life can take unexpected turn. Instead we committed to giving our best everyday, and that exactly what we did for many joyful years,”she added.

Premachandra said that it wasn?t a decision taken lightly, and they contemplated on it for months but ultimately reaching a decision to give each other independence.

She said she was grateful for the time they shared and wished each other only the best. (Colombo Gazette)

Malini resigns from parliament

Cancer sees alarming increase

The number of patients affected by various types of cancer in Sri Lanka has alarmingly increased since 2009, the government information department?quoted?the Ministry of Health as saying.
