Police seize 50 kilograms of heroin in Athurugiriya

The Police seized 50 kilograms of heroin from a vehicle in Athurugiriya today. The Police said that the heroin was found?inside a luxury vehicle at the Athurugiriya exit of the Southern Expressway. Two suspects were arrested with the heroin?estimated to be worth around Rs 500 million.

Longest ballot paper for 2019 Presidential election

The 2019 Presidential election will see the longest ballot paper being used with 35 candidates contesting. The National Elections Commission said that the ballot paper will be over 2 feet in length to accommodate the names and symbol of all 35 candidates.
