Youth commits suicide over failed love affair with girl overseas

A young man in Ampara, Sri Lanka had commited suicide over a failed love affair with a girl living overseas.

The Police said that the 24-year-old young man was found dead in his house and was suspected to have committed suicide.

The mother of the victim had been away from the house when he had allegedly committed suicide.

Initial investigations revealed the young man was in love with a girl overseas and was in contact with her over the phone.

It was suspected that the failed affairs had resulted in the young man taking his life.
