Maldives Foreign Minister to visit Sri Lanka next week

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Abdulla Khaleel is to visit Sri Lanka next week.

The Foreign Minister will hold talks with Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and hold a joint media briefing.

He will also have discussions with other Ministers and meet the Maldives community in Colombo.

Khaleel was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives in September 2024, by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Prior to the appointment, Minister Dr. Khaleel was serving as the Minister of Health of the Republic of Maldives. (Colombo Gazette)
