Douglas confident of a political solution

Sri Lanka’s topmost Tamil minority Minister in the northern town of Jaffna on Sunday expressed confidence that the government will be able to finalize a political solution for the Tamils in the country. Pakistani diplomat in Lanka named in spy case

A Pakistani diplomat in Sri Lanka has been named in the FIR filed by Tamil Nadu police in the suspected espionage case busted in Thanjavur district recently, a senior police officer said. “We have named Amir Zubair Siddiqui, a diplomat in the Pakistan High Commission based in Colombo in the case busted recently. Dissanayake promoted as Admiral

President Mahinda Rajapaksa, as?Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has promoted Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake to the rank of Admiral.
