Namal appears in court over Krrish case

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa appeared in court on Wednesday over the alleged financial irregularities linked to the land at the Krrish Transworks Square in Fort, Colombo.

The case is related to financial irregularities amounting to Rs. 70 million.

Rajapaksa had been named as a suspect in the case following investigations launched by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

Speaking to reporters Rajapaksa said that the new Government is attempting to politicize the judiciary and the Police.

He said that appearing in court is now a norm for him. (Colombo Gazette)

Man found stabbed to death inside three-wheeler in Colombo

A man was found stabbed to death inside a three-wheeler at Ward Place in Colombo. The Police said the 33-year-old man was found dead inside the three-wheeler, Tuesday.
