Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala told MP Namal Rajapaksa everyone knows who killed rugger player Wasim Thajudeen.
In a heated exchange of words in Parliament, the Minister said the Rajapaksas have no right to speak about murders.
He said that people who murdered Wasim Thajudeen and journalist Lasantha Wickremetunge are now coming to Parliament and talking about murders.
The Minister said that when Namal Rajapaksa’s Government was in office journalists and sportsmen were killed.
MP Namal Rajapaksa responded by urging Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya to control the anger of the Minister.
The MP said that the Minister lost his cool when he posed a question as a public representative.
Rajapaksa raised a question regarding the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ concept of the Government. (Colombo Gazette)
