Former Colombo Crimes Division Director arrested

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Neville de Silva, the former Director of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), has been arrested on abduction charges.

He was arrested?by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Police Field Force Headquarters.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Buddhika Manathunga said the arrest was made following investigations launched over a complaint received in August 2023.

ASP Neville de Silva was found guilty of acting in a partial manner during the investigations into the complaint while he was the CCD Director. (Colombo Gazette)

Indian Coast Guard not concerned with Chinese role in H’tota

The Indian Coast Guard is not concerned with China’s involvement in Hambantota.
