Warrant issued for the arrest of Johnston Fernando

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Minister Johnston Fernando over the 9th May incidents. The warrant was issued by the Fort Magistrates Court. Champika decides to sit as an independent MP in Parliament

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Champika Ranawaka says he has decided to sit as an independent MP in Parliament from today. Ravindu Wedaarachchi and wife granted bail

The son of opposition Member of Parliament Dilip Wedaarachchi and the son’s wife have been granted bail. They were initially remanded till today for obstructing Police officers on duty.
