A group of Aragalaya activists, including Wasantha Mudalige, have decided to contest the upcoming Parliament polls.
Lahiru Weerasekara,?Wasantha Mudalige,?Nuwan Bopege and Swasthika Arulingam are among those who have decided to contest under the ‘Umbrella symbol’.
The activists, who played a major role in the 2022 protests to remove then President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, will be contesting as part of the People’s Struggle Alliance.
Attorney-at-Law Nuwan Bopage contested the last Presidential Election as the candidate of the People’s Struggle Alliance but lost.
