NPP Leader Anura Kumara ahead in Presidential poll results

The Leader of the National People’s Power (NPP) Anura Kumara Dissanayake was leading based on the results from the 2024 Presidential election released so far.

Dissanayake secured the highest number of postal votes in the Ratnapura, Polonnaruwa and Hambantota Districts.

The NPP Leader, who secured 19,185 postal votes in the Ratnapura District, got 11,768 postal votes in the Polonnaruwa District while Sajith Premadasa secured 4,120 postal votes and Ranil Wickremesinghe 2,762 postal votes.

In the Hambantota District, Anura Kumara Dissanayake secured 14,482 postal votes, Sajith Premadasa 3,397 votes and Ranil Wickremesinghe 2,502 votes.

In the Galle District, Dissanayake secured 25,892 postal votes, followed by Ranil Wickremesinghe with 7,226 votes and Sajith Premadasa 5338 votes.

In the Trincomalee District, Dissanayake secured 5,480 postal votes, Premadasa 4,537 votes and Wickremesinghe 3,830 postal votes.

In the Monaragala District, Dissanayake secured 14,050 postal votes followed by Premadasa with 5,733 postal votes and Wickremesinghe with 3,401 postal votes. ?(Colombo Gazette)
