Seetha Arambepola gets Geetha’s portfolio

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed MP Seetha Kumari Arambepola, as the new Minister of State for Women’s and Child Affairs which was earlier held by MP Geetha Kumarasinghe.

Seetha Kumari Arambepola is also the Minister of State for Health.

Wickremesinghe had earlier sacked five State Ministers who decided to back other candidates at the Presidential election.

The President?s Media Division said that the five State Ministers included Geetha Kumarasinghe, who had extended support to Samagi Jana Balawegaya Leader Sajith Premadasa.

The others include Shasheendra Rajapaksa, Amith Thenuka Vidanagamage, Prasanna Ranaweera and D.V. Chanaka. (Colombo?Gazette)
