Sajith promises “A win for all” in election manifesto

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader Sajith Premadasa promised a “A win for all” in his election manifesto released, Thursday.

Premadasa visited the Kandy Sri Dalada Maligawa temple (Temple of the tooth) with his presidential manifesto and sought blessings for his future political activities.

He also sought the blessings of the clergy to ensure the successful implementation of his manifesto.

SJB MP Eran Wickremeratne said the manifesto does not just target the election but governance.

MP Champika Ranawaka said the manifesto looks at ways to address the economic crisis and also other social issues. (Colombo Gazette)

Terror suspect helps find detonators, ammunition in Kattankudy

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) recovered 1000 detonators and ammunition hidden in Kattankudy. The items were recovered based on information provided by Ahamed Milhan Hayathu Mohamed who was arrested in the Middle East and brought to Sri Lanka. The Police said that the suspect was taken to Kattankudy to help recover the items.
