Driver who failed to stop shot dead by Navy in Wattala

A driver who failed to stop at a checkpoint was shot dead by the Navy in Wattala last night. The Navy said that the car driven by the driver was travelling at high speed. The 34 year old driver failed to stop at a Navy checkpoint forcing the Navy to open fire. The driver was killed in the shooting.

Probe on assault on individual in Nawala

An investigation is underway after an individual had reported that he was assaulted in Nawala yesterday. He was assaulted by a group of men who arrived in a three-wheeler.
