A court in Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria has issued a bench warrant for the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to arrest two Sri Lankans, Vanguard News Nigeria reported. President donates three months salary to COVID?19 fund

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa donated his salary for three months to the COVID-19 Health Care and Social Security Fund. The President’s Office said that Rajapaksa donated his salary of Rs. 292,500/- for three months to the COVID-19 Health Care and Social Security Fund. The move comes as a request was made to Government employees to donate their May salary to the fund. Curfew to continue in Colombo and Gampaha

The curfew currently in force in the Colombo and Gampaha districts will continue until further notice, the President’s Media Division said today. The President’s Media Division said that the curfew in other parts of the country will be enforced at 8pm daily till 5am the next day. However, on Sunday 17 May an islandwide curfew will be declared. The curfew will be lifted on 18 May at 5am in all areas, except in the Colombo and Gampaha districts. (Colombo Gazette)
